Yapıncak Erkan started her marketing career at Unilever Turkey in 1993, as a Brand Manager in Fabric Care. She has moved on to a local mid-sized textile company, exporting woven clothes to the USA and Europe, as Marketing and Sales Director. Later, she decided to return to corporate life to work as a Brand Manager in Nestlé followed by five years with Colgate Palmolive as a Category Manager.

After the privatization of the state-owned Mey Alcoholic Beverages Company (now owned by Diageo) in 2004, she undertook the role of Marketing Manager for all raki (turkish aniseed-based drink), vodka and gin products. She successfully led the brand creation of the Mey Spirits portfolio by setting up a team from scratch.

She joined BP-Castrol in 2008 as Country Marketing Manager and working as part of the European Marketing team. She transferred her marketing know-how into b2b2c (business to business to consumer) and b2b (business to business) working models.

In 2011, she took the role of Head of Marketing for HSBC Turkey, working with the European Marketing Head, in the reorganization of the marketing department. She conducted the marketing campaigns for the Kredi Net (personal loan) launch and Advantage Credit Card relaunch.

In 2013, Yapıncak took on a new endeavor and decided to establish her own business, reaching out to clients both in Turkey and internationally.  Since the end of 2016, YASHA Consulting and Training Services Ltd has been based in London, UK, serving clients at a wider geography in marketing consulting and training as well as leadership coaching and facilitation.

After graduating from Üsküdar American Academy For Girls, Yapıncak Erkan earned her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Bosphorus University in İstanbul. She has been in the USA and Germany with 1988-89 Rotary Youth Exchange Program and 1992 AIESEC internship. She completed the BP Sales-Marketing Leadership Program at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

She taught Strategic Marketing class at The Graduate School for Marketing Communications of Istanbul Bilgi University (part of Laureate International Universities) in fall 2016.

She is an Associate Certified Coach with International Coach Federation and a Team Coach with a training in ORSC (Organizational Relationship & Systems Coaching) by CRR Global. She is a member, supporter and mentor in numerous non-governmental organizations. Additionally, Yapıncak is an Associate with Leaders’ Quest, a global non-profit organization, acting as a coach and facilitator in leadership workshops with senior executives.
